Jail bird control using net to exclude the pigeons

   This was a jail that had a bad problem with pigeons roosting on lots of the recessed windows outside of the inmates cells and exercise area. All of the pigeon poop was running down the walls and getting on the sidewalks below.

   The main area we netted off was about 25' wide and 95' wide and 40' deep to stop the pigeons from nesting and roosting in the shaded areas that were created by the building layout.

	This project required using a 135' bucket lift that barely reached where we needed to reach.   We installed 2" bird netting to exclude the current resident population of pigeons that were nesting in the back areas between the buildings and along the cell windows.
	As you can see from the pictures we had to drill and insert anchors' in to the tile squares very carefully to not break any. We ran the cable system in and around each of the windows and build outs. The shadow in picture to the left (<) is where we ran the net up the wall. The picture below (v) is of us netting off the large open ledge where pigeons would sit in the sun and warm them self's .
